| The job holder will manage Sofia Finance Centre (SFC) team, providing leadership, coaching, development and supervison whilst also managing the day-to-day working relationships with accounting outsource providers used by the EMEA SBU. Responsible for; month-end close coordination to ensure accruate and timely preparation & reporting of financial results for businesses in the EMEA SBU that are in scope for the SFC, compliance with financial policies and procedures - including accounting practices in both local and US GAAP, ensuring internal controls and processes function properly, maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of all financial reports within the scope of the SFC. 1) Timely and accurate submissions of US GAAP financial statements by directing the monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables prepared by the SFC Reporting Team 2) Ensure implementation of existing and newly circulated accounting policies. 3) Coordinate timely and accurate statutory financial filings as required across all jurisdictions; organize audits with E&Y team through approvals as required from Corporate; maintain relationships to ensure audits are signed off and reports issued and file by Company secretary services as required. 4) Review contracts above defined threshold level for any accounting implication and get it approved from Regional Finance before execution. Ensure to comply with Contract Accounting Treatment System (CATS) policy requirements. 5) Managing day-to-day working relationships with accounting outsource providers, monitoring performance against agreed SLA's and approving all invoices submitted by the outsource providers. 6) Act as a key liaison to FP&A, Treasury, Technical Accounting, Business Controllers, Internal and External Auditors. Liaise with counterparts in other AES shared service centres to ensure AES best practice is deployed in the SFC. 7) Ensure implementation and compliance of internal controls; Manage compliance efforts under Sarbanes-Oxley for relevant businesses, including review of regular Control Self Assessment testing to identify and rectify any potential or existing weaknesses. 8) Encourage and manage continuous process improvements in the SFC to ensure its cost effectiveness and maximum efficiency. 9) Manage, coach and mentor direct reports to include performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team that is a partner with the businesses. Develop personal development plans for the team. | ||

| 10) Support global and regional system implementations (such as SAP or GPS) through leasdership in local execution Manages various accounting and reporting roles and activities - US GAAP reporting, Local statutory reporting, outsource provider relationships, and tax filings. Supports FP&A, Tax, Treasury and the Finance Controllers; oversees accounting and reporting output from the SFC for relevant EMEA SBU businesses; oversees implementation and on-going management of out-source providers (Capgemini and third party accountants in Scotland). Responsible for producing monthly submissions for relevant EMEA SBU generation entities . Responsible for annual statutory filings (excluding UK Companies), and the submission of financial information to the Tax and Treasury teams to support all lender agreements, and all VAT & CIT filings. The incumbent needs a high degree of project management skills to plan and prioritize to meet the local country, regional, business/operational requirements. Will manage the largest sub-group of Finance within EMEA. Ability to plan for contingencies and road blocks required. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Will require periodic staff replacements and ongoing training & development for staff. Timely and accurate submission of US GAAP financial statements and various local statutory reports within the required deadlines - maintain high level of timely reporting metrics for relevant EMEA SBU businesses. Ensure appropriate controls are in place and operating effectively to avoid reporting mistakes or incorrect treatment of transactions. Provide highest quality accounting support to the businesses and timely interface with the EMEA SBU office and auditors. Support businesses during internal audit reviews to maximize their ability to show effective controls. Conduct performance evaluations and development plans that are tracked in PeopleView. | ||

| Specific Knowledge, Skill or Abilities required: US GAAP & IFRS expertise, knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, good written and spoken English and Bulgarian, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving ability, effective influencing and persuasion skills, ability to work to tight deadlines. | Необходими знания и умения: • Отлично владеене на френски език, както и английски език на работно ниво • Интереси в сферата на икономиката – базови счетоводни и административни познания • Компютърна грамотност – MS Office - Excel, уменията за работа със счетоводен софтуер се считат за предимство | ||
